it happens everywhere there for at SPCA we support students in developing the skills mindset and the desire to learn acquire knowledge in all parts of with diverse people social emotional creative and physical components that encompassed the whole child route integrated learning experiences incorporate science technology engineering art and math and social emotional learning students develop and lifelong Learners strong reading and writing are vital for our students to have as they entered Junior High therefore we approach to literacy that includes extended time to read and write in all content areas unstructured collaborative conversation our vision is to cultivate curiosity and develop skilled Learners through connected and meaningful learning experiences that Empower students and make a difference in the world how are we different be capitalized on time a valuable commodity but making every minute of the school day purposeful and intentional we have extended the school day and our fourth through sixth grade and our kindergarten classes by extending the day and integrating subject matter during our core weeks we are able to create more opportunities for students to learn how to read write and develop into strong mathematicians scientists and historian every grade level participate in for design week each year the four design least provide students with an opportunity to engage in purposeful activities in the Arts and Engineering discipline will also participating in a commune connected experience they might include a fee trip and or projects with a community-based partner students are provided with large blocks of time to think deeply and immerse themselves into the creative process teamwork collaboration critical thinking creativity and problem-solving are used as students engage in Project then encourage curiosity and develop an agency we also emphasized social emotional learning cultivating curiosity agency we support students in developing the social emotional skills and mindset that allow students to grow as focusing on both academics and emotional competencies cultivate adaptable motivated and skilled learners
